Initial steps to
start a fertility
consultation
Contact the clinic’s international department via email at internacional@urmanagua.com or by phone at +(506) 7197 2845 with Mrs. Claudia Solorzano to schedule an appointment with one of their fertility specialists. You have two options:
- A virtual appointment.
- A face-to-face appointment in Nicaragua.
- During the appointment, the doctor will review your medical history and may request additional diagnostic tests, if needed.
- You will then receive a clinical summary indicating the ART treatment that you will need and an estimate of all costs.
- Our international department will contact you to follow up on your treatment request and assist with any logistical needs.
- Once your ART treatment is complete (Egg donation, IVF, stem cell therapy, IUI, etc.), you will receive a clinical summary and recommendations to be followed by your OBGYN in the US.
Facilities
UR Managua is committed to ensuring the safety, privacy, and comfort of our patients throughout their fertility treatment journey. Our clinic boasts a spacious facility spanning 160 square meters and includes three offices, an operating room, and a recovery room for two patients. Additionally, we have two laboratories – one for andrology and the other for embryology – equipped with state-of-the-art technology to facilitate successful ART treatments. Each office has its own examination room and private bathroom, providing maximum comfort and privacy for our patients. Our waiting room can accommodate up to 10 patients, and we also have a conference room used for medical conferences and patient education programs.

1.- Are there differences in healthcare standards with the US?
Our clinic adheres to the treatment guidelines set forth by both the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), which ensures that we achieve comparable pregnancy rates to any clinic worldwide, both in the US and abroad. Our team of physicians are highly trained specialists and meet all qualifications required by regional regulations for infertility healthcare providers. Additionally, all of our 15 clinics located in Spain, Mexico, and Nicaragua utilize the same advanced medical equipment and technology.
2.- Where is the Clinic and how I get there?
UR Managua, our IVF Clinic, is located in Nicaragua, Central America. You can reach our clinic by taking a 2 hour and 30-minute flight from Miami to Managua with several airline options such as American Airlines and Avianca. Round-trip fares start from USD 308.16 and can be booked directly on the airline’s website. Travel regulations require a negative PCR-covid test or proof of two Covid-19 vaccinations, as well as a valid passport. US citizens and residents do not require a visa but are subject to a USD 10 fee charged at the International Airport in Managua.

We offer two options for your initial fertility assessment: a virtual consultation via Skype/Zoom/WhatsApp or a face-to-face consultation in Nicaragua. stay in
Managua?
UR Managua offers the option of staying in their on-site apartment during your treatment period. The apartment features a double bed, private bathroom, and various amenities such as Netflix, internet, refrigerator, kitchen, and patio. You can also do your own laundry and there are nearby supermarkets where you can purchase groceries to cook your own food. The apartment is available free of charge as long as there is availability, which you can inquire about during your consultation.
In addition to the apartment, UR Managua also provides a list of nearby hotels for those who prefer a more exclusive stay:
